Great Family Snorkeling Trip!Captain Brian was the best! He was incredibly patient with our kids and so knowledgeable about finding the best spots for us to enjoy our day. From the start, his priority was making sure we had the best experience possible. He even recommended changing our original reef tour because the water was too rough, knowing it wouldn’t be enjoyable—or as safe—for our 7- and 10-year-olds. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact that he put our family’s experience ahead of everything else. Thanks to him, we had an amazing day on the water and made memories we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to come back and book another trip with Captain Brian. Highly recommend!
Great day on the water in the Back Country of Big Pine!
Great day on the water! We moved to BPK and wanted a day on the water with an experienced Captain to show us around. Capt. Brian was great. Friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Beautiful 2 hours on the water! Had dolphins play with the boat and saw some cool sights. He even took us by our house on a canal! Will use Capt. Brian again when my son comes down to show him the area so he knows where to go with his boat to be safe. Thanks Capt.! We will see you again soon!
Fantastic Snorkel Experience
This was a fantastic snorkel experience. It was just us with Captain B. He took us to a location before the crowds came and away from the other boats that were already there. We saw lots of beautiful fish and a huge spiny lobster. The corals were beautiful. We had 100% freedom to enjoy our snorkel. We felt like we were alone on the reef. So worth it to go private.
It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This!
We had a wonderful Snorkel Trip to Looe Key with Capt Brian and Capt Allison. There were 7 of us –myself, my four teenage daughters and their 2 friends. Captain Brian and Captain Allison handled everything. I felt very safe with them watching over us in the water. They handled all the gear and it was such an easy day for me as the mom. We saw an array of sea life on the reef. We saw a sea turtle, a barracuda, a shark, and a plethora of beautiful tropical fish. After we got our fill of snorkeling, they took us over to Picnic Island to spend some time on the sandbar. We lounged in the hammock over the water, and we had a swing on the swing which was an amazing experience. I highly and without reservation absolutely recommend Captain Brian and Captain Allison. They are wonderful people and made a day very special for us. A++ highly recommend. The only downside was that our day had to end!!!
Excellent Snorkel Trip with Keys Boat Tours
We originally booked the Looe Key reef snorkel, but it was too windy. We went to the mangrove islands in the bay side instead to find a slack tide sheltered from the wind. We snorkeled all along the mangroves and got to see many kinds of fish, barracuda and even a couple of sharks. The kids absolutely loved it and spent every minute in the water. Capt Brian was great. He is extremely knowledgeable and worked with one kid to stay close to the boat and snorkel from a noodle. He gave us lots of interesting facts about the Keys and has even written a guide book to the Lower Keys called The Road to Key West. Check out that book too for great info. It's a great value for a private snorkel charter. I would highly recommend booking with Keys Boat Tours.

My family and I went out with Captain Brian to snorkel at Looe Key and we had the most incredible time. It was a 4 hour excursion and there were 5 of us in the group. Every minute was filled with immense excitement and joy. Captain Brian himself is one of the coolest people we’ve ever met. He was so laid back, kind, and knowledgeable. The views at Looe Key were literally jaw dropping. It felt like we were inside of a big aquarium tank with the diversity of fish, corals, and colors we saw! We were lucky enough to see a nurse shark, a juvenile bull shark, hundreds of fish, a moray eel, a sting ray, conchs, etc.. It is a very happy and healthy coral reef and I still can’t believe I got to experience it first hand. I know there are other companies you could choose from to go to Looe Key, but none of them compare to Captain Brian. He even took the time to fog proof every pair of goggles so that we could have the best visibility the whole time. If you’re looking for amazing vibes, an experience you’ll talk about for the rest of your life, and a captain who’s whole goal is to ensure you have the most fantastic time, then you’ve got to book with Captain Brian.Great Guide!

Fishing with Capt B
Capt Brian was awesome and put in some really great work to try and get us on the fish, unfortunately conditions were less than ideal for fishing, but Capt Brian still showed us an amazing time on the water, really cool seeing the different sights the Keys have to offer by boat. Next time luck will be on our side and conditions will be much better, definitely will give Capt Brian a call next time we get back to the keys....thanks for a great time, and the smoked mackerel was absolutely delicious.
